How do I delete documents that are shown when I close a word docum

When I close a Word document a list of previous documents will appear to the
right that I have created or opened, how do I delete them?

I guess you don't want to delete the documents, only hide the list of
recently used documents? If so: Tools -> Options -> General -> clear
the Recently used file list check box, then restart Word.
