How do I delete an Outbox item constantly sending (210MB)

I scanned 3 newspaper articles and saved each as a word.doc. I then e-mailed
them using Outlook 2003 (as I have done many times before) but they were
always in 'sending' mode. It was then that I noticed these 1 page word.docs
somehow totalled 210 MB. I can't open the message because "Outlook has
already begun transmitting this message." I sent myself 15 e-mails hoping
that while receiving them, Outlook wouldn't be trying to 'send' and i could
delete... no luck. I've tried everything I could think of to delete to no
avail. It's still trying to "send" - and that always going on in the
background really bogs the computer down. H-E-L-P !!!

Until the "experts" show up - I've seen posts about working Offline
(File/Work Offline) to Delete there and then return to Online. Worth a try.

You, sir, are now amongst the Geniuii. What a simple, elegant solution. I,
alas, am now placed amongst illiterii, for not thinking of it myself.
Thanks much!
