I have a lenghty resume with numerous job descriptions each preceded by a
bullet. How do I remove one without removing all? The .docx is set up to
generate a new bullet for each new job description. Thank you for your help.

Make sure your cursor is in the paragraph where you don't want a bullet and
then hit the bullet button.

Or press Ctrl+Shift+N to (re-)apply the Normal style. Or use the Apply
Styles pane (Ctrl+Shift+S) to apply an unnumbered style of your choice.
