How do I delete a previously searched word from the dropdown box?

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003

I have performed a search in Outlook and now am required to delete the
previously searched word so it is no longer in the drop down box and
therefore does not appear each time a search is performed.

You need to delete the StripSearchMRU value from the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Contact\StripSearchMRU
registry key. That will remove all search terms since I don't think there's
a safe way to remove just one
