how do i delete a large email in the outbox

as per the website howto-outlook.com i created a new pst-file from
tools>email accounts. it did not work to delete the email and now everytime
outlook starts it looks for the newly created file which has been deleted.
now i have email (11MB) stuck in the outbox AND probems when i start it and
it looks for the "new" pst file.
Any suggestions about getting rid of the email and the problems at startup
looking for the "new" pst file. i can not figure out how to get rid of it.
