How do I cut & paste quote marks and hyphens Outlook to Access?

On Windows XP Professional; When I cut quote marks and hyphens from Outlook
to paste into an Access 2003 form, they come out as a small blob like a "bar"
symbol. How can I get them to paste as they are in Outlook?

Is there a Paste Special in the Edit menu? I avoid Outlook so I have
no idea.
