how do i create pivot table from data fields containing forumulas

have spreadsheet with error categories which uses a dropdown list the user
chooses from and the error categories are populated with a "1" if my if/mid
formula is true. however, pivot table results are wrong... how to correct??
 
What results do you see in the pivot table, and what results do you expect?
