How do I create distribution list from email addresses in an excel column?

I wish to list email addresses in a column in excel then cut and paste
to create a distribution list. Can this easily be done?

No. You cannot import into a DL.
DL's are not designed to be convenient or fully functional.

Thanks for that, but I would have imagined one could have made a ;
between each and then simply added that to distribution list. I'll
have to think of another solution.

I want create a list of people attending an event with one or two bits
of info such as name, pohone no etc in orther columns then email
everyone afterwards with arragneents.
