I'd like to create an area or page on my website where family members can
upload and submit photos and text. A family web photo gallery where family
members from all over can place photos. Thanks!

there are "gallery" scripts with this potential available. find out what
kind of server side script you can use and then look at places like
hotscripts.com, fuzzysoftware.com, etc.

What about setting a FTP site on your webserver. Not a FP function
but should be workable.
