how do i create a search box on my web?

I am using a template for my web which already has a search box and search
button on it, how do i get it to work? If you want to see it go to
www.amplestamps.co.uk and look at the bottom left of the home page.
 
You will need to contact the author of the template. You can not use the FP search component.
