How do I create a drop down menu in excel spreadsheet.

I want to create a drop down menu on an excel spread sheet. I was able to
get the drop down but the information did not come with it. What did I do
wrong?

If you want to use a drop down menu for data entry....create a list of
items.....then use data/data validation/list/ and highlight the list
