how do I create a database that can be read by people without Acce

Hi
I need a little help? How can I create a databse in access,e.g. recipes and
then send it to friends so they can use it as well, BUT they do not have
Access. Is there such a thing as an Access reader, like acrobat reader, or
something similar?
Any suggestion how to do this would be greatfully received. It is driving me
mad, I can find a way round it. With many thanks.

There is a way to do this; however, it is very expensive. You need a special
version of Access in Visual Studio 2005 which is about $720 at Amazon. Plus
your friends will still need to install the run-time on their computers.

Now if you just want to send them individual recipes, you can export reports
as RTF files that can be read with Word or Wordpad. You also can create PDF
files to email them with a cheap program like www.pdf995.com.

Now there is something called a Snapshot Viewer that can read reports
created by Access; however, it's about worthless IMHO.
