How do i count Text in the Cells, but not formulas.

In column A:A
I have names, but these names are a result of a formula.. When I use counta
it counts the names plus the "blank" rows that fallow which contain a
formula.

How can i have it count only names not formulas.

For some odd reason i am getting a "0" after i enter the formula, yet i have
about 23 names it that column.
