How do I correct the date on sent items with the wrong date ?

I have MS Outlook 2003. It shows the wrong date on some of my sent items.
These have dates 1- 3 months in the future ! How do I correct this problem ?
 
Have you checked your system time?

After furious head scratching, vlc asked:
