You can load it into MS Paint and then Save As and change the type to BMP

Download the freeware IrfanView. It's really good at swapping formats with a
simple File, Save As.

Right click on your picture and say open with Paint. Go up to file menu and
do a save as and at the bottom under Save as type: select 24-bit Bitmap and
click save.
