How do I convert DOS documents to Word documents?

I have transferred my DOS documents to my new computer but need to know how
to convert these to Word format. Thank you
 
No such thing as DOS documents. The file extension will tell you what kind of
program created the files. Are you sure they are document files? Do they have
a .txt or .doc extension? Try opening the files in Word or Wordpad to check.
If Word can convert them, it will or you will get an error message.
