How do I convert an excel spreadsheet into a pdf?

You need a pdf creator program to do that, there's a free one called
PDFCreator at sourceforge.net
Or you can buy one from Adobe.com
 
I also recommend the method used on this site.

Will make one PDF file from multiple sheets.

If you have the free program OpenOffice.org you can open your Excel file
in the spreadsheet module and then export it as a PDF. Check your print
preview of the file first as you may have to adjust for proper column
and row placement on a page.
