How do I convert a WordPerfect 12 document to Office Word?

I have Office 2003 and I'm trying to convert Wordperfect 12 documents to Word.

If you have access to WP, save as an RTF or Word format. Otherwise you need
an intermediary program such as OpenOffice, AbiWord among others that can
open the WP file & save as a doc or RTF. Some of them are freeware or fairly
inexpensive. Third option is to obtain a file conversion program that will do
it.
