How do I configure an email account?

I just bought I new labtop and am trying to set up the email account of an
exiting dsl verizon account. I is giving me an error messege that said
"Receiving reported error (0x8004210A); The operation timed out waiting for
response from receiving (POP) server.

Go to your provider's website. The most providers holds instructions how
to configure a mail account in an e-mail-program. If everything is
correct, set the timeout-intervall to maxium.

Tools | E-Mail-Accounts | Existing E-Mail-Accounts (...) | Change | More
Settings | Advanced Tab
