How do I configure a client to receive but not send email?

I would like to restrict an outlook client to be able to receive email only,
removing their ability to send.

In what kind of mail environment? Usually you can fully omit Outlook and
configure it directly on the mail server. This also prevents the user form
making changes to enable it again.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your response. Using Exchange Server 2003 with 2003/2007
Clients. Currenlty, I have restricetd the users' Mailbox quota to 0kb, which
is doing the job. I was wonderimng if there was a more efficient method.

You can prohibit send at xx KB - and conveniently, use the same size as the
mailbox quota. This eliminates the warnings. Or you can go into the SMTP
send connector and reject messages from everyone - this allows internal mail
but blocks eternal mail.

Don't mind me... You need the prohibit send smaller than the used size. I'm
not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that.

One other option is to set the SMTP to allow only messages smaller than xx
KB. This will block all users who use the server though - to block only
some, quotas are better.
