How do I concatenate two date fields

How do I concatenate two date fields (2/1/2010 & 4/4/2010) with results of
2/1 - 4/4
 
=TEXT(A2,"d/m") & " - " & TEXT(A3,"d/m")

With dates in A1 & B1 use:

=TEXT(A1,"m/d") & " - " & TEXT(B1,"m/d")
