how do i compress deleted emails,2 make it run_faster

Hi, Just wondering how do i compress deleted e-mails, to help make my outlook
run faster, any help would be great, thanks.
 
Two options:
1) Delete the things
2) If you are just using the folder for holding on to them so that they
aren't in the inbox. Create a new folder called Hold and move them into this
new folder. Deleting those that should really be deleted.
