How do I chart in Access

My database tracks safety observations. My main table fields are as follows:
OBS_ID,Date,Observer,Area. I need to be able to produce a graph that shows
the number of observations for each area for a particular period. I am
stumped. Can someone please help me out? When I enter chart or graph into
Help I don't seem to get much information.

First create a query that creates the records you want to chart. Then use the
chart wizard to add the chart to your form or report. Once the wizard is
finished, you usually have to go back and change the Row Source property of
the chart control to get what you want.

Stupid question though: where do i find the chart wizard?

When you create a new report or form, you can select a chart/graph type.
Otherwise, check the Insert menu while in design view.
