How do I change the size of link bar buttons?

I do not mean interactive buttons. I mean the bar that shows up when the
user has created a navigation tree. Some of my page titles are too long for
the default button size and I prefer not to change the titles but cannot
figure out how to change the button size.

You would have to modify the theme images to make them larger. Overall it is easier to shorten your
page titles.
