In Excel 2003, the menu headings, grid address locations, and checked menu
items when selected highlight in orange. How do I change that orange
highlight color to another color?

You should be able to change this in your display settings:

From the Windows Start button, choose Control Panel
Double-click on Display
On the Appearance tab, click the Advance button
From the Item dropdown, choose "Selected item'
Select a colour
Click OK, click OK

Thank you for the suggestion. Regretably, it worked only on "selected items."
After making a change to green, then opening Excel, the row and column
headers, menu selections, and checked boxes were still indicated by an orange
highlight.
