how do I change ruler increments?

My measurement units are set on centimeters.
However, when I grab the first-line it moves in 1/8 of an inch increments,
not the displayed .25cm increments. I can set it to 1cm exactly in paragraph
formatting, but why do they bother with cm units display if can't set to
them???

Have you changed the grid interval (Draw | Grid from the Drawing toolbar)?

Suzanne, you saved my life. I have been looking for this answer more than
month. I've got over 500.000 files made in word 2.0. (in this version I might
..25cm increment) and didn't want to change indents using ruler. Now I can do
it!
