How do I Change Order of Folders in Windows XP Notepad's Save-Window?

When I want to save a document to "My Documents" using Notepad, WordPad, or
MS Word, the folders are in a descending (z to a) order instead of an
ascending one. I found, if I right-click onto a clear space in the save
window and highlight "Arrange by Name" it reverses the folders to the wanted
a to z order. However, when I open other folders, their sub-folders, or
re-open the same one in the save window, I have to click "Arrange by Name"
for each instance. Is there a way to set the ascending order of folders as
the default?

Hi

After you have setup Windows Explorer the way you want it, go to
Tools>Folder Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders' - restart WE.

Set the folder views the way you want (Icons, Details, Arrangement).
Click Tools, Folder Options, View & Click "Apply to all Folders".
In the Advanced Settings window, make sure the "Remember each
Folders view settings" is checked.

Log out and back into your profile.

This dialog only reads from the base system default (lots of other defaults override the settings for normal folders) so holding Control and clicking X is needed to change the sort order.
