How do I change font size in Excel with keyboard short cuts?

I wish to change the font size of a cell I am working in by using the
keyboard. I know this can be done with Word but those keyboard short cuts do
not work in Excel.

You can use the accelerator keys:

Alt-o,e,f,tab,tab,tab,type the new font size and hit enter.

Alt-o shows the format dropdown (on the worksheet menubar)
e shows Cells option
f show the Font tab
tab, tab, tab tabs to the font size box.
