How do I change font in navigation based link bar of shared border?

I am having trouble changing the font in my link bar. I
am using a shared border and want the text in my
navigation based link bar to mesh with my page color
scheme. I have selected one of the front page styles for
my link bar. Is one able to change the font color?
 
If using a theme - Format Theme Modify Colors and save as a new theme name
If not using a theme use Page Properties Background to set your colors
