how do i change downloaded photos from Bitmap to jpeg format?

I can only burn 50-75 Bitmap formated photos to a CD. I can burn 1500-2000
jpeg formated photos to a CD. How do i change current bitmap formatted
photos to jpeg so i can save on CD's?
