I want to change a powerpoint presentation to jpeg ,, I would like to burn a
disk to play on a dvd player. I will use vegas software to burn the disk

Open your slide show. Then go to File -> Save As. In the "Save as type" box
on the bottom of the window choose the file type *.jpg then name your file.
It will then ask you if you want to save the current slide or the entire
show. If you choose the entire show it will create a folder in the location
you specified with a seperate jpeg for each slide. Burn and view.

That may not produce what you really want. It will only produce a series of
still pictures of each slide in your program. If you have animation or
sound you'll lose that. You may want to make a video out of your PPT
presentation.
