How do I change a icon on the quick launch toolbar?

I added shortcuts to the quick launch toolbar and changed a couple of icons
for particular Word and Excel documents already, but this was a year ago or
so. In the meantime we have moved to Office2003. Now I cannot find an option
in the R-click/Properties or anything. I do have a number of documents in
this toolbar, it makes opening them up nice and speedy, but I do need to be
able to distinguish which icon refers to which document, of course. Can
anybody help? Many thanks.

Look again. When I click almost any icon in the quick launch toolbar and
select Properties, there's a button in the lower right of the dialog (just
above the Apply button) that says Change Icon. There are a few special ones
(such as Show Desktop) that don't have it, but all the ones for documents
do.

If you still don't see it, you can recreate the icon. In Windows Explorer,
find the document, right-click it, and select Send To > Desktop (As
Shortcut). Modify the icon of the shortcut that creates. Then delete the
original icon from the QLT and drag the new one into its place.

Hi Jay,
I can change the icons for the programs, but not for actual documents. But
creating a shortcut and changing the icon from there works brilliantly!
Thanks for your help!
