how do I cancle the overwrite option

I would like to know how to can cancle the overwrite option in Office?
 
For Word 2007 uncheck:
[ ] Use the Insert key to control overtype mode
[ ] Use overtype mode.
( Microsoft Office Button > Word Options > Advanced: Editing )

The Insert key still, by default, works as a toggle in Word 2007. Checking
the first box would save the OP from accidentally toggling from Insert to
Overtype.
