How do I cancel an outgoing e-mail that won't respond

I tried to send a message with too many unformatted pictures. It was too
large and now won't respond. I can't delete it, cancel it, end program...now
what? It keeps trying and is clogging up my mailbox.

you say it won't delete, are you getting an error message, or does it look
like nothing is happening?
if the latter (and you also said it hangs) it could be trying to delete, it
just takes it's time, don't belive eveything in the title bar just because
you get a "not responding" message it quite often means " I'm doing something
, leave me alone".

Click File and check Work Offline. Stop and restart Outlook. You should
now be able to delete it from the Outbox. See
