How do I calculate age using dates in Excel?

The formula I found in Excel Help to calculate the number of years between 2
dates is only accurate if the birthday has passed for this year. For example
-
03/24/1974 - 10/01/2004 = 30
10/24/1974 - 10/01/2004 = 30 - This is wrong the person is still 29 years of
age.

Clumsy, but it should work as a formula in a cell:

A1 is earliest date, B1 is latest date:

IF(B1-Date(Year(B1),"1","1")
<
A1-Date(Year(A1),"1","1"),
Year(B1)-Year(A1)-1,
Year(B1)-Year(A1))

Blessings in abundance, all the best, and ENJOY!
