Is there a way to to xfer/copy/back-up my inbox and address book contacts
onto a back-up hard drive on my PC and on to an external hard drive so I can
xfer/import the info onto my laptop. I have to reload my OS on my Desk Top
and can't chance losing my data.

Close Outlook and just copy the .pst file to the location of your choice.
When you need to open it in the other Outlook, browse to that location and
use File->open->outlook data file.

If your Inbox resides in a Personal Folder, right-click on it, select
Properties, and click on Advanced. This will tell you the filename and
location of your PST file. Using Windows Explorer, copy it to the target
location.

Make sure that you copy all PST files if you have more than one, e.g.
and Archive file.
