How do I archive e-mail in Microsoft Outlook 2000?

I have a lot of e-mail and over time Outlook would pop up messages saying
things about Auto Archiving, and I would usually answer no to the request of
Auto Archiving my e-mail. I would do this because I don't hardly know a thing
about auto archiving, archive (.pst) folders, and how to view the archived
e-mail later. Can someone please help me in this attempt to learn how to
correctly and efficiently archive e-mail so that things will run smoother in
Outlook? Thank you.

Hi Dylan,

have a look on this site for a short but good description from an education,
how to archive emails and how to handle the emails after archiving:
http://www.law.fsu.edu/current_students/technology/pdf/archive.pdf

The microsoft website for Outlook archive function:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830119

and this site is also pretty good:
