I am used to using Outlook 97 and 2000. Now i've changed to 2003 i'm having
trouble with the navigation pane groups and shortcuts. I used to have three
groups one of which was 'Mail'. You clicked that and it revealed all the
shortcuts to folders like Sent items etc., There was NO folder list. Under
another group i could aff other files/folders like My Documents and other
folders within. Now i can't seem to find these options so i'm wondering if
they have been removed.

Clicking the "Mail" button at the bottom of the Navigation Pane will show
you all your folders containing Mail items. Likewise the other various
views at the botton of the Navigation Pane will show you folders containing
the corresponding folders. The Shortcuts view allows you to enter various
shortcuts, including those to file system objects, although file system
shortcuts are not as useful in Outlook 2003 as they were in prior versions.
