How do I add an Outlook 'New Message' icon to my Window Taskbar?

In Office XP I was able to add an Outlook 'New Message' icon to my Window
Taskbar. I can't figure out how to do this in Office 2003. Any hints?

Customize the toolbars. Check the Menu Bar on the Toolbar tab and add New
Message to it.

Are you asking how to configure Outlook to display a "New Message" icon in
the notification area of the System tray when a new message arrives? Click
Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options and check the "Show an
envelope in the notification area" box. You may also have to customize the
Task bar in Windows to "Always show" the "You have new unopened items" icon.
