how do I access my contacts when sending an e-mail

I am a new outlook e-amil user. when I use hotmail, my contacts are always
available to me when I begin an e-amil so I can just click and add. My
outlook screen does not seem to have this capactiy?

Just start the e-mail and click on the little book icon on the "to"
line. You can also try just typing in the name and see if it will make the
right guess.
