How do I access a parameter in a sub form?

I have a main form that contains a sub form. I have a form that prompts for
the parameters (on open) but the sub form prompts for the paramters before my
form is called. If I eliminate the form and use the paramters that the sub
form prompts for then I don't know how to name them in the main form.

Appreciate any help you can give me!
 
That helps but how would you use that format to refer to a prompted parameter
value?
