How come the picture files i save can only be saved under BMP

I wanted to save a jpg file into my computer but my
computer only allowed it to be saved under bmp format.

You need to empty your Temporary Internet Files. In IE click Tools, Internet
Options, under Temporary Internet Files check Delete Files.

Also make sure that jpg or jpeg are registered file types
on your computer. To do so, open up My Computer and then
go to Tools/Folder-Options and then click the File Types
tab. Scroll down and see if jpg or jpeg is listed and if
not then add it and tell it with which program to open
files of that type...
