How come my incoming emails are being delayed?

How come my incoming emails are so delayed in outlook. If someone sends me an
email, I get it hours later? What can I do to resolve this? Any help would be
appreciated, thanks!

If you're getting your email from a POP3 server at your ISP it's probably
not Outlook's fault that the mail is delayed. It's probably just taking a
long time winding its way from the senders server to yours (and a number of
servers potentially in-between)
