How come my blank documents have a previous document on them?

When I am in Word, and want a new, blank document, a document previously
saved always comes up. How do I get it back to a blank page?
 
I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to Word (there are numerous
ones starting microsoft.public.word).

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
