How can you tell if it's USB 1.1 or USB 2.0

Given I approach an unknown computer and want to connect to its' USB port.
Is there any way to tell which version of USB a particular port is? For
example, using Ghost, you have to make separate boot disks for USB 1.1 and
USB 2.0 Would be useful to know before hand which to use.

The motherboard spec sheet should tell you, or (if the
system is properly set up with the correct drivers)
Windows(?) Device Manager should list the USB 2 ports as
Enhanced or EHCI instead of Open or OHCI.
