How can you prove that XP has all the files needed to boot & run the OS?

I'm looking for an application that'll essentially inventory XP and
report on missing files, especially files critical to the operation of
the OS. Most of the diag apps out there check hardware and the
registry, but I'm looking for somethign that'll tell you "hey, the page
file is gone" or "you're missing the following DLLs needed to run the
OS".

Anyone seen something like this?

Thanks!

Use the following procedure to correct Windows XP system files.

Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. In the resulting
Command Prompt window, type: SFC /SCANNOW , and hit enter.
You may be prompted to insert your Windows CD in the CD Drive.

SFC = System File Checker. SFC will scan your system and replace
missing or damaged XP system files with the correct version.
