How can you allow your e-mail to read aloud

My coworker accidenlty hit a button that allows her e-mail to be read aloud
to her. She is not sure how to turn this feature on/off

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823586 tells the story how; but it is scary
for a new user, so try this:

Click on START then CONTROL PANEL,
Click REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE SETTINGS,
On the Languages tab, click DETAILS,
Click on the ADVANCED tab,
In the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION pane, Click the checkbox to turn OFF Advanced
text services.
