How can vista survive a format!!!

That aside - I fail to see the relevance of your post to my suggestion
that the OP should have had a current backup. Can you explain?

Hi,

The problem is - it already happened. She could learn from it for future
reference but saying or spelling backup won't help her in any way at this
point.

So anyone could help her now will be the best and we can leave the lesson to
be learned when the problem is solved.
