I have been running Access for many years after I replaced the original with
an "upgrade version". Recently my computer crashed and I had to reload all
the programs. However, it did not allowed me to load my Access 97 because it
is an upgrade. I got rid of the original Access after I loaded this upgrade
many years ago. What can I do to be able to reload this upgrade in my
computer?

Hi John,

You need to call Microsoft for assistance. None of the volunteers who answer
questions in this newsgroup, including me, will be able to help you
(legally). If you can convince the appropriate person as Microsoft that you
are a legitimately licenced user, they should be able to give you an
installation key that will work.

a) dont use Access 97 for anything; it is vulnerable to GDI+ image
problems

b) dont use MDB for anything it is prone to corruption.

c) upgrade your stuff to 2002+ and then upsize it to sql server /
access data projects

hth & good luck
