From both Outlook Express 6.0 and the Address Book (I opened from
Accessories as a stand-alone program) I follow the steps from Microsoft for
Exporting the Address Book. Iselect the text/comma separated option, I
selelct a file name and location, and continue on to the end point of the
Microsoft process. In the top of the dialogue box I get an eror message that
the export process had an error and am kicked back to selelcting a file name
and location. No matter how many time I repeat the process, the same thing
happens.
Because of the fact that the problem happens from Outlook Express and the
Address book, I suspect the problem is not isolated to Outlook Express. I've
searched Google and Microsoft for someone else having the problem. The only
thread I could find suggested the location of teh copied file may not be
large enough. However, this is not relevant, I believe, since the hard drive
has plenty of space.
Thanks for taking the time to think on this one with me. I've already
invested about 6 hours in trying to figure it out myself and gotten nowhere.
I'm to the point of considering the $35.00 fee from Microsoft support. Yet,
if the suggestion from Microsoft is to delelte and re-load the programs, that
will be a problem since I can't seem to export to save the addresses.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
